What is Hypnotherapy?

There are so many misconceptions about what hypnotherapy is. Many hypnotherapists will ask a client what exactly they think hypnosis is. Common replies include “Hypnotherapy is…”

  • Sleep
  • Being unconscious
  • Magic
  • Releasing of all control
These are all myths.

The definition of hypnotherapy is a guided concentration which allows you to relax and allow suggestions in at the subconscious level. You are in control the entire time. You will be aware of everything that is going on around you. There is no surrender of the mind or control of the client at any time. It can be a very powerful tool.

You are the one that makes it a success by believing in the process, and being ready to commit to your desired change. Often times the therapist can ask direct questions and the client can make signals responding to the question. If you don’t want to be hypnotized, it will not happen.

Hypnosis allows a person to be more open to suggestion and discussion by working with them in the subconscious state.  There have been many success stories for treatment of hypnosis.  Some issues take one time while others can take up to 5 sessions.  It depends on how severe the issue or condition it is and how willing and able that person is to make that desired change.

Our Hypnotherapy Sessions

The first session will be a detailed interview of what you want to accomplish from the sessions. The hypnotherapist will go into great detail of what it is that you want to achieve. If you both decide to move forward the sessions usually lasts an hour.

Most people say they feel refreshed and have more energy. You will usually be able to recall the entire event. If you cannot, it is ok because the changes were still instilled in the subconscious. It is not uncommon for clients to recall more from the session as they continue on feeling the benefits of the session throughout the week.

To create lasting change it is recommended to do 3-5 sessions over a 21 day period. Keeping in mind the rule of thumb that it takes 21 days to change a habit!

1 Session
  • 1 Session usually not recommended for weight loss or smoking. There is no guarantee.*
3 sessions
  • If you buy a package the sessions should be done 1 time per week for the best results.
5 Sessions
  • If you buy a package the sessions should be done 1 time per week for the best results.

*Other things may be cleared in just one session. Additional sessions can be purchased.

Does hypnotherapy really work?

Because we are working with the subconscious level we are able to release blocks and barriers to the way you think and perceive things. Many times there is something in your past, or something that has happened to us in our daily life that forms our belief system. Sometimes we are not even aware of the negative impacts these cause. The beauty of Hypnotherapy is its ability to uncover deep hidden triggers at the subconscious level.
